Slumber Party

A friend of mine from high school is having a slumber party tonight as a kinda-sorta-halloween party for girls, so that's where I'm gonna be. Though the "for girls" part is debatable as I suspect there may be a party crasher or two showing up in the wee hours. :)

I think the plan is to watch some scary movies and give out treats to any kids who happen to be going out a night early, but there has to be something more interesting happening than that. Maybe I'll bring a camera and see if I can sneak some pictures for you guys. :) Then again, if I did that I'd likely never get invited to another party again, so perhaps I'd better not...

If you've got any ideas for how we could pass the time tonight, be sure to let me know before 6 or so today when I'm leaving. :)

Saw II

I never saw the first movie, but some girlfriends and I are heading out to the theater tonight to see the late showing of Saw II. From what I understand the first one was quite scary, so I'm not sure this is a really good idea.

If you don't like being in a theater with a bunch of screaming girls, you might want to avoid us this evening. :)

I suspect I'll spend most of the time squeezing my girlfriends arm and staring down at the bag of popcorn! I'm such a wuss sometimes, oh well. :)

Halloween Plans

Several of you have sent emails asking what I'm planning to do for Halloween this year, so I thought I'd answer here so everyone will know.

Basically, I have no plans.

Sad isn't it. :) Seriously though, I'm not going out to any big parties or anything so I'll likely just hang out with some friends and give out some candy to any kids who happen to stop by. Maybe we'll squeeze into some costumes and go out Trick or Treating ourselves. Mmm.. what should I go as?

So what are you doing for Halloween? Any big parties I should know about? LOL!

Sometimes ya gotta grease it up

I try to eat right, stay fit and all, but you know sometimes I just have to be bad. Tonight was one of those nights. Ever get a craving that just wont go away? Tonight's craving was cheap chinese buffet.

So I rounded up some friends, and we hit the greasiest one we could find. None of my girlfriends wanted to go, but the guys jumped at the chance. I thought it was the idea of cheap all you can eat food. I might have been mistaken though because they all came down with a terrible case of yellow fever as soon as we arrived.

Great place to people watch overall. It is a melting pot in more ways than one. Also interesting to see what different people eat. What's up with the people who come in and do nothing but watch for more crab legs to be put out and then decent upon it like a bunch of hyenas? And who the hell eats the stuff out there that still has the eyeballs and assholes attached? I don't like my dinner looking back at me.

The place had so much fried food that the smell permeated the parking lot, and I could swear I had a thin film of grease on my skin by the time we left. My system can only stand that kinda meal three or maybe four times a year. And never, ever, ride home with a bunch of guys after a meal like that unless you are in control of the power windows in the car. And that's all I have to say about that.
